Due to a error in my manufacturing, a number of my swing arms were delivered with only one of two needed indexing marks. Without both of these marks the tool can only be used some of the 944 series of cars.

Does this recall affect you? To know that, you need to look at your swing arm, there should be two small grooves. The green one is for use on 944s that do not have an auto-tensioner. The red groove is for the later model cars (87 and later) that use the auto-tensioner.

I am affected, what do I do? Simple, send the swing arm to me and I will fix or replace it. You need only pay the postage to get it to me, I will arrange for return shipping. Be sure to include a return address.

I need to use the tool now, is there a way for me to use it as is? Yes. If your car is an earlier car (pre-87) you can use the tool as is. There is also a second temporary work-around. I can provide a measurement and you can use that to place a mark along the bent rod. This temporary mare would then represent the red slot. Contact me if you need this information.
