By now you're realizing that a Porsche requires several special tools. I've been making these specialty tools for a few years now and have found that some of their tool designs could be improved upon. One of those is their Pin Wrench (AKA Locking Bar). This tool is meant to work in two places, 1) to lock the balance shafts for cog removal and 2) to retract the spring tensioner (a.k.a. auto-tensioner). The tool must have the small pins to work on the auto-tensioner but these pins are a little wimpy for the task of removing/ installing the balance shaft cogs. So, we've taken steps to alter the Porsche tool design.
The combo pin wrench includes the following features:
Two sets of pins to better address the two uses of the tool.
Black oxide coating.
Fits all Porsche all 944s, 944 Turbos and 924S from 83 through 91.
Stainless steel pins (much stiffer than the original design).
Welded pins, not just pressed.
