Rear Bearing Removal/Install ToolIf your tired of that rear end rumble maybe its time to replace those rear wheel bearings. There's a lot of guys out there that have done this with a big ol hammer, a couple of Cole chisels. But you'll need some luck too, to avoid damaging your aluminum trailing arms. A lot of Porsche owners go down that road because the special tool to extract and insert the bearing is expensive (I've found them priced at $320!). I sell the tool for less than half of that price and guarantee success. This link will take you to detailed instructions for how to use the tool. Expect the work to take about 2-1/2 hours per side. This tool is made of solid steel and is very tough. It includes precision machined discs to fit the close tolerances of the Porsche suspension.
Special note to all interested buyers: this tool has been redesigned to improve strength twice. The yellow picture below is what you will get when you order this item. Additional note: large tools are needed to do this job. I use a 3/4 inch drive ratchet and breaker bar.
