Above photo is the 944 turbo kit,
the 944 S kit is similar.
This kit is applicable only to the
87 - 88 944S.
Here is a low-dollar item that can
genuinely help your car to start, run and look better. This
kit is fairly easy to install (about an 1.5 hours).
Included in the kit are:
- O-rings to replace the throttle
body shaft seals. These seals are important because they
prevent vacuum leaks that can alter the smooth engine
idle. A secondary TPS o-ring, and a throttle
body-to-intake flange o-ring.
- Stainless steel fasteners to
replace the old ones. These fasteners are marine quality
and the best looking fastener that can be found.
Included are hex cap screws for throttle body mounting,
hex cap screws for TPS mounting and new stainless nut
and stainless, serrated washer for the throttle cable
cam. Also included are specially machined stainless
steel screws for securing the throttle plate. All of
these fasteners look good and stand up well to
corrosion. The TPS screws provided are hex socket
head (rather than the OEM Phillips).
- The kit includes 7 pages of
step-by-step instructions with over 20 black-and-white
photos to show exactly how every part of the throttle
body is disassembled, inspected and resealed.

Special note; these o-rings are
NOT original Porsche parts. All but the shaft O-rings
are identical in size, shape and material. The shaft
o-rings are replacements for Porsche's wiper seals.
These o-rings were selected and tested carefully to
provide a very good seal (up to approx 25 lbs per sq
in.) without presenting significant drag on the rotation
of the shaft.
This kit is only for the 944 S;
a 944 NA and a 944 turbo version is also available for
